There are some additional actions that can be taken after a credit card is charged. For example, reprint one or both of the signature receipts.
Tap 'Management' and select 'Credit Card Transactions'.
Select a transaction.
Swiped credit transactions show the last 4 digits of the card used for easy lookup.
Tap the Action button.
Print Business Copy | Reprint the business copy of the credit receipt. Print Customer Copy | Reprint the customer copy of the credit receipt. Remove from Batch | Users with proper permissions can remove credit transactions from the batch. Void | Void the transaction if the batch hasn’t been settled yet.
Duplicate Transactions
There can be scenarios when a customer has two identical orders and pays with the same card.
For example, a customer prematurely closes their $10.00 bar tab with their credit card before deciding to stay for another round. They order another round, also totaling $10.00, and pay with the same credit card that they used for the first round.
If a card is charged for the same amount within 24 hours, Ambur will catch it and notify you of the potential double charge.
Tap 'Force' to proceed with the transaction if the duplicate charge is intentional.
Tap 'Cancel' to remove the second charge if the duplicate transaction was unintentional.
Settle Credit Batch
At the end of a business day, settle the batch to submit transactions for funding. Do this only after all tips are entered.
Tap 'Management' and select 'Credit Card Transactions'.
Choose 'Settle'.
Tap 'Settle' again to confirm.
Select 'Cancel' to close batch report or 'Print/Email' to save a copy.
Credit Card Permissions
Use Permissions to fine tune what a group of users can access when adding or editing the credit card associated with an order.
Tap 'Management' and select 'Permissions'.
Select a 'User Group' and choose 'Credit Card'.
Modify permissions as needed.
Toggle whether users in the group can add or delete credit cards from orders.
Select ‘Hide’, ‘View’, or ‘Edit’ next to each feature.
Hide | User Group cannot see the feature at the register. View | Ability to view but not change the feature. Edit | User group can make changes to the feature.
